Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Disclaimer: The title of this blog, "Chica Chica Boom Boom" should not be confused with the book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. My title is a reference to the female gender and firearms while the book is an awesome way to learn the alphabet.

Alright, now that we got that out of the way... In order to best introduce you to the central idea of my blog, please watch this youtube video --> http://tinyurl.com/bygfvfz

So if you decided to skip the 1 minute and 4 second clip in order to save time, here's a little break down for you: Penn Jillette (1/2 of Penn & Teller) is basically saying that every American female should be provided with a gun. He makes the argument that even if half of the women give their guns away or don't choose to carry them, predators will be far less likely to attack if there is a 50/50 chance that they'll be staring down the barrel of a .38 special. I agree fully.

In the grand scheme of things, I realize that I'm not exactly the first person to create a blog for females who love firearms. However, there are a few things that I would like to specify. So here are some guidelines for reading my blog:
DO Read This Blog if:
1. You do not want to be a victim and believe in responsible ownership and handling of firearms.
2. You believe that firearms are for: self-defense, collections, sport (i.e. marksmanship), hunting and any other responsible uses that I have not listed here.
3.You think that firearms should be respected while providing a sense of safety and empowerment.
4. You would agree that women belong in the world of firearms just as much as men.

Do NOT Read This Blog if:
1. You are against gun ownership and/or concealed carry (if this applies to you, why are you still reading?).
2. You believe that firearms are for: posing with in sexy pictures, criminal activity, and/or any other ridiculousness.
3. You expect me to use the words "ya'll", "yuns", "git", "yee-haw", or "chootin'". In fact, these are not even words.
4. You believe that the world of firearms is only for men.

In short, this blog is for intelligent discussion regarding women and firearms. According to a self-reported poll, in 2011 43% of women had a gun in their home/on their property. That's awesome and we should talk about it. Much like handbags or high heels, we should get excited! It is my hope that this little blog of mine can become a fun place to find useful information about guns specifically catered to women. Enjoy!
